As a visual storyteller, I create fictional and symbolic narratives based on personal experiences and reflections. An unconditional lover of flat shapes and passionate about color, my artwork arises in the space where reality and imagination converse. With carefully honed compositions, my art builds universes alive with an array of diverse elements and bold characters that are used to translate complex concepts into simple, emotive, and dynamic visual narratives, conveying context, meaning, and sentiment.

Anchored in the soft powers of color, beauty, and harmony, my work's purpose is to transform the viewer by elevating moods and sparking positivity.

The Napkin Project was born when I moved to New York in 2006. One of my first (and most lasting) impressions of this concrete jungle was the utter waste of resources I encountered. Every time I got my morning coffee I got a handful of unnecessary napkins that went unused. I was confronted with the choice of keeping them for later use or dropping them in a trash bin. I decided to keep them and repurpose this wasted paper. During my daily subway ride from home to work, I would sketch illustrations on crumpled napkins using a sharpie marker. I would draw anything that held my attention or sparked my imagination, from people to stains on the ground suggesting weird creatures. I also drew inspiration from the garish banners flashing before me as the train passed from one station to the next.
