They say “a picture is worth 1000 words” but what is the essence of a picture? The more I ask myself that question the more I realize the answer is simple, to freeze time and hold a moment for all eternity. There is something so special in holding a photograph in your hand. From Polaroids, to disposable cameras, to digital photography, all uniquely special in their own way. Growing up in Washington Heights photography has been an outlet for me. Something peaceful and satisfying. A positive way to stay out of the streets and away from the violence that has plagued my neighborhood. Art is subjective, art is powerful, but most importantly art is inspiring and motivational.
