JJ Gonzalez Acosta is a visual artist from Valencia, Venezuela. He has been expressing himself and telling stories through colors and paint brushes since an early age. Inspired by his mother and aunts, also artists, JJ has since earned a B.A. in Arts Education and a master’s degree in management. 

Moving to Florida in 2017 to pursue his American Dream, JJ currently lives in NYC. Here he creates and teaches art and origami to adults and children. The goal: to help others find their creativity and promote their talents.

JJ’s art is characterized by vibrant hues, single lines, and floral motifs. Often featuring iconic images and historical personalities, he reflects on popular culture while infusing elements of his own Venezuelan heritage.
