Primarily working in the design of the urban environment in the public sector, my artistic expression through photography becomes a very personal experience. My work with nature uses specialized or vintage lenses to capture scenes and subjects in a unique way. Vintage and macro equipment open small worlds and past perspectives allowing the viewer to see the uncommon, despite the subjects always being around us. Hamilton Heights offers this unique perspective by being surrounded and integrated by nature, parks and green spaces while also being densely urban. Amid the frenzy of human life, the humble plants and animals live full and cyclical life spans around us and we around them. I often stop to admire a bug or plant to remind myself of the fascinating co-habitation that we experience and document whenever possible.
