As a photographer I seek to create images that are visually stunning, emotionally resonant, and that shed a different perspective on social injustices. My passion is for preserving memories and emotions in a world that is constantly changing. I am inspired by the beauty of nature and human experiences. I'm driven by a desire to amplify the issues that affect our societies and to invoke empathy and action in those who view my work. I hope to create a sense of empathy and curiosity, to spark conversations, and to inspire collective action in our communities towards a more equitable world. West Harlem: a community rooted in history, alive with culture, and “still climbin”. The revitalization of 125th street and Harlem continues to evolve and thrive. However, the green steel arch infrastructure anchor of the IRT Broadway line reminds us of the rich history and its important contribution to daily commute since 1904. The structure and foundation of the IRT line is reflective of “West Harlem: where art lives” and the strong foundation of the community. The 125th street station helps connect the Manhattanville and Morningside Heights neighborhoods. It helps New Yorkers stay interconnected through different modes of transportation. My photography is a ‘call to conscience’ and aims to connect with audiences by creating compelling images to generate emotions that will shape our understanding of the world, and leaves them with a meaningful visual experience. “Let’s generate positive emotions and see impactful change together.”
