My artwork explores the serenity and joy in the chaos of life. I communicate this through the use of intense saturated colors, as well as intricate patterns and abstract, energetic forms . Anyone that knows me well would say that even in the darkest of times, my light radiates from within and is contagious to others. I am a multidisciplinary artist. In my private art practice, my work includes acrylic and oil figure painting, making jewelry out of crystals mixed with copper and street art, such as murals made out of spray paint. I currently have two murals, one in the South Bronx and one in James Town, Ghana. In my academic art practice, my art work consists of Printmaking, Sculpture, Figure drawing, Stop motion, Photography and Painting on fabric. Although my academic practice is based on prompts envisioned by instructors, I intentionally embed my work with themes of sexual identity , being a member of the African diaspora, my love for movement such as dance, and Mental health . My life's work, both in and out of the studio, is to use my creative and intuitive abilities to help people explore themselves and develop deeper self-acceptance. I believe that working with multiple mediums is like speaking multiple languages, it can be integral in the communication of creation both with myself and my audience.
