My paintings celebrate colors, forms and textures and meditate on the close relationship between Art and renewable resources. I work primarily in acrylic on canvas, but my passion and background for sculpture led me quickly to play with forms and materials to create modern and sculptural artwork. Like an obsession, I am constantly seeking to create surprising effects and textures by incorporating unexpected materials into my paintings. My passion for luxury craftmanship combined with my engagement to environment guided me to select meticulously material types in my work such as crystals, recycled glass or recycled Aluminum coffee capsules to name a few. My work on materials requires precision along with great care for details like an artisan guild. So, very often I feel like being a stone-setter or ‘les petites mains’ literally translated from the French as ‘the little hands’ in Haute-couture designs, which was my childhood dream!
