Photography

A photograph is a visual representation of a moment in time. Today we use photographs to document where we’ve been, who we’ve been with and what we’ve seen.
Every photograph has a purpose (intention). Every photograph is influenced by the photographer.
Take a look at this photograph, “New York Puddles” by Katie Godowski.

First, describe it. Just look, see and record.
Next, reflect on it. Comment on how this image makes you feel. Why? Explain.
Finally, analyze the elements of the photo. Why these colors? Where does your eye go to in this photo? Does pattern play a role? Is it textured?
