Most of my paintings are reflective of and are inspired by the rhythms and continual rebirth of the universe. My art begins when I experience emotions, seasonal changes, and the surrounding environmental consciousness. Awareness of such emotions as happiness, beauty, amazement, sadness, anger, etc., also influence, touch, and motive my spirit. Our unique artist practice presents to the world interpretations of our passions, that’s total freedom, especially in abstract art. Artistic expression is for sharing, contemplation for others viewing the same work of art. What is their point of view, their experience? What do they feel? It is important to be aware or recognize your feelings when you see art. For me, personal awareness is strongly connected to creating ART. It connects to awareness of my inner voice. I moved to New York alone at forty-three years old for business, and after many years, I was not fulfilled and again found myself questioning my future. This time I was fifty-four, in the autumn of my life, and I was determined to discover what would gratify and feed my soul before the life winter season began. I may never have realized my potential as an artist if it was not for soul searching and self-examination of my personal goals. It started as an unintentional life but becoming aware of my inner voice led to a new path. My artist life started with awareness from within.
