Artist Statement

Intersections are the crossroads of life. An intersection offers a choice. It’s that instant when opportunities present themselves, and one has to choose what is to be. The images presented certainly speak, both in compositional elements and in content, to that idea of intersection.In one image, a silvery line crosses through the frame and intersects with the extended arm of the adult, holding the clasped hand of a child. Perhaps the adult is offering the child an opportunity to come with her, and the child had to choose one way or the other. Or, perhaps the adult had to go away, and had to choose to leave the child behind. A choice had to be made at either moment. The other two images enclosed can also as well be analyzed within the same approach/idea/concept applied for the previous image described.
