Artist Statement

Too many times, we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. My painting " Merlin's Crosswalk" highlights the act of slowing time down and enjoying a moment while there is constant life happening. The theme of "Intersections" correctly relates to my watercolor painting within an exciting double entendre. My figure is grasping literally at something that will bring childhood euphoria, happiness,  and no doubt a smile while at an Intersection titled wit the type of ice-cream cone he is enjoying. This piece is a reminder that no matter what point in life we are in, we should take time to appreciate the little things.
