The theme of "Rise" takes center stage in my journey of rising above the self-suppression and comfort zone to follow my heart, explore my insecurities, and nurture my creativity.

I left my extensive experience outside the art world, aware that it wouldn't match the impressive exhibiting lists of other artists. I want to show how scary it was (it still is!) to leave behind something you worked so hard at to gain recognition and step into the unknown.

As I embarked on the ride, I had to accept and deal with old and new emotions. It was a humbling experience to start from scratch but also liberating. Putting yourself out there is something exhilarating: knowing that you are constantly learning and growing. I needed to take this leap and challenge myself to evolve as a human being.

My art celebrates the mysterious, unique energy of a vibrant city and how it inspires curiosity, bravery, and the need for internal investigation and affirmation. I capture authentic moments when we enjoy being alone and embrace our individual quest - no matter how "adventurous" it may be or how sensitive it may make us look.
