Artist Katherine Erin Lee’s piece “Crossroads” is the view of First Avenue and 60th Street with the Queensboro Bridge and the Roosevelt Island Tram visible in the distance. She paints the busy intersecting lives of people on New York City streets walking through crosswalks, dodging taxis, puddles, and people looking down at their phones.

Look around you! What do you see?

Make a list of all the things in your classroom. Who do you see? What do you see? What sounds do you hear? What smells do you smell?

Then, draw a picture of something you observed!
