I am a Brooklyn artist educated, trained and exhibited throughout the metropolitan area.

My work is an inventive layering of materials, images and content. It juxtaposes the paper cut, colored pencils, markers and gouache to create complex patterns that weave and braid layers of forms and colors throughout the work creating a unique art form. There are multiple focuses that include the layering of images often inspired by women’s crafts such as knitting, crochet, tatting, macrame, sewing and weaving and my deep concerns regarding contemporary issues

That cross cultural boarders such as the homeless, the voiceless and environmental issues. Other topics include gardens, popular culture and abstractions. The hand often appears in the work representing the importance of the power of the human touch.

The techniques and materials in these works include paper cutting, drawing and painting layered into a unique form of collage. A constant in the work is a fascination with space that is

created through illusion of the drawn line with the physical line of the cut form. The play of shadows both drawn and cast by the physically raised forms capture the attention of the viewers.
